Finally got it scanned. Can't think of a name that I like yet though, so for now it's just "new piece". It'll come eventually.

So on Saturday my awesome professor Megan Berkheiser (who has amazing work, check her out) offered to take studio photos of anyone's work if they brought it in, so I brought in my shoes since I didn't have a real picture of them yet. Here it is! I wish she had gotten some up close detail shots, but oh well, I can probably do those myself at home. Once I find my camera charger, of course.

Well here's the black and white sketch I was talking about. Looks a bit wonky but hey, that's why it's a sketch. The people on his shoulders will be a lot more detailed in the final of course, it was difficult to even think about on such a small scale and with charcoal....I'm really excited to do this though. Love me some Lynch!
Well today I ended up blowing through the other shoe pretty quickly, hence no in-process pictures.....I'm fairly pleased with how they came out, for it being my first time with acrylics. and they're on shoes. of course there's always more to do on them......like all the little white bits in the nooks and crannies that are near impossible to get to with a paint brush. also considering adding more trees to the tongues of the shoes, but I can't decide if that would be overkill. Ah, well. I am excited to use acrylic on paper and see how that goes. At least I know it'd be easier than this!

(sorry for the crappy photobooth pic, I can't find my camera charger!)
